UNFINISHED STUFF... AGAIN!!

It's still Friday!! I mean, it's only a few minutes after 12, so I still consider it Friday!! No?? Boo.


Painting from 3+ years ago that I am still not finished, and probably never will be finished.

Speed Colouring...

20 today, feeling a bit crappy. I'm two freaking decades old now and I feel like I haven't accomplished anything in my life. Or anything meaningful, I guess I should say.

NEVER HAVE I EVER:

1. Traveled out of North America! I'd love to go to Europe and Asia, but I just don't have the fundage to do that. But I feel like such an ignorant North American; I can never truly empathize with the plights of others in third world countries. I feel so unworldly! Everyone else I know has been travelling, or at least been to one other country than the states. I think I really need to go to these places for myself!

2. Done anything I'm really, truly proud of! Can't add much to this one.

3: Had a boyfriend. People seem to look down on me when they realize I've never had a boyfriend ("Wow, what's wrong with YOU!") but I am perfectly happy with myself as an independent unit, so I can't say I feel like I'm missing out on much? 

4. Dyed my hair! I think I might like to. But I've never had a reason to, and I'm more or less okay with my true hair colour. Maybe if I live to 80 I'll dye my hair bright purple or something. 

5.  Seen Star Wars. My friend tried to get me to watch the first one, but I totally fell asleep within the first ten minutes, so I have no idea what actually happened. Nerd fail!

BUT I TOTALLY HAVE:

1. Eaten LOTS food off the ground. Three second rule for the win?

2. Been Chunky-dunking, Skinny-dipping's slightly more obese cousin. 

3. Been in a fistfight at school. And didn't get suspended for it!

4. Been suspended in Elementary School. It was only an in-school suspension, though? Still pretty bad, I guess. 

5. Eaten moldy food on a monthly basis. I don't know what it is with me, I guess I never really look closely at things before I eat them...

I think I should make a life bucket list and try to accomplish at least one thing on that list per year!

Adventures in Burlesque and Blackcombe (and Whistler, too!)

Anyways, this was supposed to be posted a couple weeks ago. It is a summary of my first time at "Burlesque" lifedrawing. Fun stuff. 

I'm posting so late because I was skiing all day today at Whistler! Like true Asians my dad and I spammed the camera:

First Paintover Attempt

Bloody thing took well over 70 hours to do. Gah. It was good practice, but I'm not going to attempt another paintover for a looong time!

Portfolio SPAMTIME

Auugh. That's pretty much the extent of my vocabulary after submitting this today. Today was the deadline for the Capilano U animation programs, and I am very sad that my two jobs ate up all of march, because I really could have used more time to work on this. (On the bright side, MONEY.) Honestly? I'm feeling pretty disheartened right now. I think I could have done a much better job with more time (and motivation, what's that word?) I guess I'll get to hear what Cap says in a few weeks time. In the meantime, I'ma be bashing my head against a wall (er, tablet, rather.)

Lifedrawing SPAMMMM

People at the mall where I work. The dinks were particularly uncooperative and did not hold still, so my sketches are crappier than usual. 

Speaking of holding still, Hazy does not. What a bad little rabbit. I think he suffers from rabbit ADD/ADHD.

Drew these on the ferry when I went to visit friends in Victoria. People I was sitting next to thought I was a little bit weird, staring at my hand for one and a half hours. 

So-called "Character Design". I miss being a kid, when your biggest concern was who could make the nicer mud pie in the backyard, trying to beat your brother to the TV in the afternoons and when sitting in the front seat of the car was actually exciting... :P

Want to know a secret? I TOTALLY FORGOT TO PUT THIS PAGE IN MY PORTFOLIO SUBMISSION. FML, FML, FML. Instead of being smart and saving the page into the printing folder, Miss Genius here goes and stupidly saves it into some other random file and hence it was not printed. I could just frikkin KILL myself right now. Out of all the spam here, I was actually pretty happy with these guys. 

Character turnaround that is kind of inconsistent... her butt goes up and down. Grah. But thanks Megoon for helping me with this one :)

And finally, my photoshop painting stuff. The bottom one will be having a feature on the blog here soon, because I put a lot of time into it and gosh darn I think such an endeavor deserves a post.
